Some thoughts and quotes about comfort.
Comfort is a strange thing. We spend most of our lives seeking it, but many of the greatest thinkers throughout history warn against it. They obviously never met my cat.
To make a goal of comfort or happiness has never appealed to me; a system of ethics built on this basis would be sufficient only for a herd of cattle
-Albert Einstein
The superior man thinks always of virtue; the common man thinks of comfort.

And many modern motivational speakers assign it to a “zone” to avoid:
Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.

Quotes about age and aging.
Strangely, it had never occurred to me until this morning that the word “vintage” – which makes age sound like a good thing – is actually very specifically in reference to wine, with its earliest roots in the Latin vindemia, which means grape-gathering. With age comes wisdom, I guess. I’d have to say that anyone who thinks of getting old as a bad thing hasn’t tried to have a meaningful conversation with a teenager lately.
The age of a woman doesn’t mean a thing. The best tunes are played on the oldest fiddles.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.
-C.S. Lewis

-Henry David Thoreau
Age is a question of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it don’t matter.
-Satchel Paige
Age is a high price to pay for maturity.
-Tom Stoppard

Is “Enough Time” An Oxymoron?
It’s amazing, considering that time is infinite, that we’re always running out of it. These quotes were handy reminders for me today that time is an illusion, or, as Douglas Adams said: “Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so”
If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?
-John Wooden
To achieve great things, two things are needed; a plan, and not quite enough time.
-Leonard Bernstein
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
-Abraham Lincoln
The only reason for time is so that everything doesn’t happen at once.

Motivational quotes for Monday morning.
Sometimes it’s not only hard to get motivated on Monday morning, it’s hard to remember why to get motivated on Monday morning. We’ll probably make this a weekly feature…
It’s true hard work never killed anybody, but I figure, why take the chance?
-Ronald Reagan
I like the word “indolence.” It makes my laziness seem classy.
-Bern Williams
Every day I get up and look through the Forbes list of the richest people in America. If I’m not there, I go to work.
-Robert Orben
Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.
-Confucius
You cannot plough a field by turning it over in your mind.
-Irish Saying
People who throw kisses are mighty hopelessly lazy.
-Bob Hope

Yes, we realize there may be an oxymoron in there.
The tragic event in Arizona yesterday really put the the topic of political rhetoric in the media’s crosshairs, so we thought we’d share some political quotes:
I think it’s about time we voted for senators with breasts. After all, we’ve been voting for boobs long enough.
-Clarie Sargent, Arizona senatorial candidate
All of us who are concerned for peace and triumph of reason and justice must be keenly aware how small an influence reason and honest good will exert upon events in the political field.
-Albert Einstein

-H.L. Mencken
In order to become the master, the politician poses as the servant.
-Charles de Gaulle
Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber.
-Plato
Politicians are the same all over. They promise to build a bridge even where they is no river.
-Nikita Khrushchev
When I was a boy I was told that anybody could become President; I’m beginning to believe it.
-Clarence Darrow
